The Night netPA found that the league came up with another category of exempted money not agreed to in the collective bargaining agreement. The discrepancy was discovered by union officials during an audit.“They created an exemption out of a fiction and they got caught,” Night netPA executive director DeMaurice Smith said, via the Journal.The owners will return the money to the shared revenue pool, which is expected to increase the salary cap for next season by about $1.5 million per franchise.
