on the planet. He presents himself as a very affable, likeable and respectful young man, but with the allure and luster of an artificial Christmas tree.He does such wonderful things, yet sometimes almost too wonderful, if that is possible.  MORE: Contender or pretender? | Week 3 power rankings | Did Rodgers take a jab at Wilson? | Graham not happyTake his Tuesday afternoon for example. Following the Seahawks' second loss of the season, Wilson spent his downtime visiting some special people at the Seattle Children's Hospital. At one point, a young girl asked Wilson to be her godfather, and the Seahawks' quarterback happily obliged.  !Este hermoso ángel se le preguntó por mí para ser su padrino! ¡Dije si! @SeattleChildrens She asked for me to be her Godfather! He spends his free time giving back to his community and those who need help. What he does is both admirable and remarkable. But at the same time, it frustrates many. While we want our pro athletes to be role models, we also want them to be real people. This is not to say that Wilson isn't a likeable person who enjoys giving back, but every time he does something away from the football field, it is like an extra layer of polyurethane is added to an already-coated action figure.Perhaps we are just frustrated that Wilson, despite the daily criticism and growing list of detractors, remains upbeat and positive. After all, he continues to put smiles on peoples face and it is hard to criticize that.
